For 50 years now, the brand “Kartonveredlung KNAPP’ has stood for innovative packaging solutions throughout Germany and the rest of Europe. And the passion of the founding fathers is still as contagious as ever!The second generation has long since joined the company ranks. They are active, young, dynamic and have their finger on the pulse. They are always in search of the trends of tomorrow and are smart and resourceful in the development of new products.

The fact that the two generations work so well together is one of the key factors behind the success of the Schwetzingen-based company. The combination of years of expertise on the one hand with forward-looking strategies on the other provides the perfect blend of tradition, innovation and future.

Two generations, one company

Germany’s ‘Sparkassenverband’ (association of savings banks) and the state government in Baden-Württemberg have shown their lasting confidence in this model: In May 2015, Dr. Nils Schmid, Minister of Finance and the Economy in the German State of Baden-Württemberg, and Peter Schneider, President of the Sparkassenverband, awarded Kartonveredelung KNAPP with the ‘Gründerpreis’ (German Business Founder Award) in the ‘Corporate succession’ category.

The management comprises Hans-Dieter Knapp, Jeanette Zeuner-Kiefer, Caroline Knapp and Stephan Knapp. Everyday they work together productively as a team with the 150 employees to master the challenge of putting good ideas in perfect packaging for every single product and client.
